Covering an extensive timeline from Medieval to contemporary art, we will be looking at particular examples of architecture, sculpture, painting, photography/film and installation art to discuss form and function, social/historical and political contexts and the artists themselves.

The first part of the session will consist of a short talk by me, on selected periods/themes in Art History followed by a group discussion. By the end of the course you will have a good overview of the major periods and art movements in Art History and some insights into notable art and architecture created by artists/sculptors/architects throughout history to the present day!
