Greek Circle Dance with Rosie Allen-Perdikeas.
Circular dancing is a common tradition across many cultures and is used for a variety of purposes including celebrations, ceremonies and as a social way to strengthen communities. Circle and line dance is an important part of Greek culture and thousands of dances exist with many regions in Greece having developed dance, music and costume that feature unique elements of local culture and the environment. The rhythms, beat and pattern of the steps can aid with flexibility and coordination, as well as bringing joy through social connection. Rosie is an experienced dance artist with a Greek cultural background. This session is open to all people and all ages who would like to try out this fun and engaging form of dance.
