Good Fortune
In Good Fortune, a well-meaning but rather inept angel named Gabriel (Keanu Reeves) meddles in the lives of a struggling gig worker (Aziz Ansari) and a wealthy venture capitalist (Seth Rogen). Gabriel's attempt to teach the worker that money doesn't solve one's problems by swapping their lives, results in unintended consequences, leading to Gabriel losing his wings and being sent to live among humans. As Gabriel navigates life on Earth, he becomes roommates with the displaced capitalist, and the work he did as an angel begins to unravel around them.
Directed by Aziz Ansari in his feature directorial debut, Good Fortune blends supernatural comedy with social commentary, exploring themes of identity, privilege, and the human condition. The film offers a humorous, yet poignant look at the complexities of life and the unexpected ways in which people find themselves.
