This four week intermediate course strengthens everyday communication in European Portuguese by consolidating A1 foundations and introducing key A2 grammar. Learners review essential structures such as the present tense, articles, agreement, and basic sentence formation, while expanding their vocabulary related to daily life, family, food, shopping, and social interaction.
The course introduces the pretérito perfeito to talk about past events, comparatives and quantity expressions, indirect object pronouns in simple contexts, and future forms including ir + infinitivo and estar a + infinitivo. Students also practise using time markers, connectors, descriptive language, and há and existe in present and future contexts.
Throughout the course, the focus is on improving listening and speaking confidence, enabling learners to communicate more naturally about past experiences, present situations, and future plans in real life contexts.
