This four week intermediate Italian course strengthens everyday communication while building confidence with core grammar and more complex sentence structures. Learners review essential foundations such as essere and avere, articles, gender and number agreement, numbers, age, and demonstrative and possessive adjectives, consolidating accuracy and fluency.
The course develops control of the passato prossimo with both avere and essere, including irregular past participles and common time markers, enabling students to talk about past experiences, travel, and weekend activities. Vocabulary expands to cover daily life topics such as food, grocery shopping, restaurants, clothing, and personal descriptions.
Students also work with partitive articles, quantity expressions, direct object pronouns, comparatives and superlatives, and the structures c’è and ci sono. Throughout the course, emphasis is placed on improving listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills so learners can describe people, places, and experiences with greater confidence and independence.
