Skies are so often the backdrop to our paintings, yet are so often how we set the scene of the country, the weather, the season. Or they can be used more creatively to set a mood or also help us design a composition to showcase our focal point. Phew that’s a tall order! But if we learn and practice the skills to have smooth, loose washes, blended soft colours and believable clouds they can be the star of the show!
Clouds can be particularly fun as we use a range of domestic and DIY tools to create impressions of these fleeting features [so do look at materials list below]. Come and practice lots of versions so you have a tool kit for future paintings.

*you may also book am & pm if you want time to paint all day in this subject in your preferred medium.
