The materials for this simple style of printing are minimal and very reproduceable at home at the kitchen table! You’ve probably got most things around your house. [minimal but specific, please read materials suggestions in good time]
Working on an A4 impermeable surface we will create lines, shapes and textures then create one off prints. We will start by mono-printing, then you may wish to add further colour or add glazes to embellish your print, each approach produces different results.
So today we will experiment, be playful and discover our own preferred approach. Drawing is minimal, but the willingness to have fun, experiment and see where this fragmented, ‘hit and miss’ style leads you. It can be very characterful and charming. Artists will also see that it is a method of introducing a printed details into their existing compositions. Come and have a fun Saturday by the sea!
