Ever fancied joining a samba band? Come on an adventure with us as we explore the roots of Samba starting with its West African Heritage.
We’ll start off playing djembes and dun dun bass drums and then gradually morph the group diversifying onto a whole range of instruments to create a fully functioning samba band with caixas, repiniques, surdos and cowbells.
These sessions are awesome fun. We’ll put together an infectious Brazilian carnival groove complete with breaks, intros and improvisation.
No experience necessary! Starting from scratch, you will learn basic fundamental techniques which will have you grooving in no time. Expect BIG Beats, Big Breaks and most of all Big smiles!
