Embodied Creative Writing - Workshop

Embodied Creative Writing - Workshop

Friday 12th December - 13.30 – 17.30

This 4-hour workshop offers you an exciting opportunity to explore your creativity and imagination through warm-up games, mindfulness-based practices, and short spontaneous bursts of writing (flash fiction and non-fiction), which you will be invited to share with the group (optional).

Deep listening to each reading in turn will be followed by an embodied group response using our physicality to reflect what touched us, as well as a brief feedback discussion. This is to help each person to feel seen, supported and inspired.

The overall workshop focus is on unleashing our creativity, using play and inquiry to get into flow state and find your spontaneity, creativity, listening and collaboration.

The type of prompts to stimulate our writing ‘bursts’ will be stories or thoughts around dreaming, reimagining, nature and community.  Some reflection on the past year, to lead us into the next, will underlie these themes.

We will have breaks for drinks and snacks but please come having had lunch.

Anyone over 18 welcome whatever your background of experience.

Cost of the workshop:  £35
