Whether you are a local or visitor, everyone marvels at the big open spaces of Dartmoor and its verdant colours. This gives us the opportunity to produce bold, expressive sketches, colour studies or finished paintings.
Do Bring your favourite photo [Liana will have her trusty inspiration file too] as a starting point to plan a composition, plan a colour story and then let loose as we warm up and get into big loose washes , veils of colour and mark making.
Improvers may want to go large, traditionalists may want to loosen up their watercolours/oils/acrylics or add more expression in the trees & tors ,everyone can start at the own level but be inspired to bolder, looser interpretations to capture the majesty, peace and sheer size of our surrounding moors.
We have small groups in an airy, spacious studio next to the sea with in-house café, whats not to love?! ;-] Liana is known for her warm welcome, clear demonstrations & teaching steps and encouraging confidence and fun risk taking.
All students are invited to her free Artist’s Circle for further learning and community.
