The play opens in the Persian Hall in Piccadilly where the Masked Magician is performing his nightly show. It's the talk of London. In mid-show, he vanıshes, magically, totally and, seemingly, torever. Has he been kidnapped? Is he in hiding? Has he been murdered? Who, actually, is behind the Mask?
